CE Training (Virtual) – Loss of Natural Habitat and Development of Green Space
July 28 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Tuesday, July 28 – 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm for FBMG’s first online Continuing Education Program. Jaime Gonzalez, Houston Healthy Cities Programs Director with The Nature Conservancy of Texas, will present
Nature to the Rescue – Greater Houston’s Best Chances to Save, Restore, and Connect Landscapes for Biodiversity and Resilience.
The Greater Houston region sports world class biodiversity and ecosystems. Yet, rapid regional growth, invasive species, climate change, and other forces pose severe challenges to saving the best of what’s left. Join conservation biologist and environmental educator Jaime González of The Nature Conservancy in Texas and learn about how local, state, and international groups are and can work together to supersize nature conservation and restoration for the benefit of people and nature in the next 10 years.
This program will take place via Zoom. The program will last an hour, and include a question and answer session.
For all of you who have not used Zoom, practice now to work out any kinks or ask questions. President Steve has created a wonderful instructional .pdf for you. Those of you who have used Zoom but infrequently would also benefit.
You will receive an email on the 28th containing a link and a password to use to join the meeting. We’ve invited the Coastal Prairie Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists to attend. Jaime can accommodate all of us, but there is a limit as to how many people can attend. The program will be recorded and made available online for later viewing.
We really encourage you to join us on Tuesday, the 28th at 6:00 pm!!
We ask that you not share the link for the program with anyone outside of the Master Gardener group.
