Family Fun in the Gardens
When: November 10, 2018 9 AM to 12 PM
Where: Extension Gardens behind the Extension Office, 1402 Band Road, Rosenberg, TX
What: Fun and Education for kids and adults
For the children:
Plant vegetables in the Vegetable Garden.
Decorate a bag to take with you to collect the results of the different activities.
Make a Paper Pot and take home your very own plant.
Make a beautiful rubbing to take home and put on the refrigerator.
Make a bee condo to take home and help the native bees.
Make an origami character to take home.
Get your face painted with a whimsical character.
For the adults:
Learn how to properly plant a tree. In front of the Extension Building at 10 and 11 AM.
If you’ve never separated perennials, now is your chance to learn.
Separate day lilies in the Cottage Garden at 10:30, take home an extra.
Separate shrimp plants in the Edible Garden at 9:30, take home an extra.
Learn what to do with your irrigation system to get ready for winter in the Gazebo.
Have questions about your garden or lawn or a plant you’re interested in? See our Hot Line folks on the porch in front of the Range.
Get several FREE pass-a-long plants from our Butterfly and Native Gardens while they last.
Learn about the Good, the Bad and the Ugly insects. Talk with the Entomology group about insects in Fort Bend County in the Range.
Visit all of our beautiful gardens and see what grows here. Talk with the Master Gardeners in each garden about what might work for you.
