Fort Bend Master Gardeners have renovated the Vegetable Demonstration Garden!
We’ve added more raised beds, rainwater harvesting tanks, and an
open-air classroom! We have a number of free classes available to help you learn how to grow vegetables at home, and we also have Master Gardeners that can speak to groups about growing vegetables.
Due to the mild climate in Fort Bend County vegetables can be grown year-round. The Master Gardeners will demonstrate how we do this and also recommend varieties that work well in our area of Texas.
Since 2017, the Fort Bend Master Gardeners have donated the bounty we harvest from the demonstration vegetable garden to local food banks. You can also get information about growing vegetables by visiting https://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/vegetable/
These are the plants we’re growing this season.
