Native Garden Spring 2018

Native Garden Spring 2018

The Native Garden is planted to highlight Texas native plants in a natural setting. These plants are drought tolerant and require little maintenance. The garden is designed to provide color and texture options throughout the year. Butterflies, birds and beneficial insects find sanctuary in this garden.
Rainwater harvesting is demonstrated in the garden by a 500 gallon cistern placed to collect water from the roof of the building. Drip irrigation tubing, located in the beds, is connected to the cistern for watering.
