The Fort Bend County Master Gardeners have decided with great sadness to cancel the 2020 Fall Vegetable-Herb Plant Sale.
The good news is we are planning to hold our annual Fruit and Citrus Tree Sale, which is scheduled for February 13, 2021.
Preparations for the fall vegetable-herb sale begin months in advance with Master Gardeners working closely together to grow the vegetables and herbs in our greenhouse. We feel that canceling the sale this year is in the best interest of our Master Gardeners and our wonderful customers as we are strictly following the CDC and local COVID-19 guidelines.
We appreciate your amazing support for the past 11 years for the Fort Bend Master Gardeners Vegetable-Herb Plant Sales. We are working on ways to alter the format of our growing process and sale for the 2021 Spring Vegetable-Herb Plant Sale. We will keep you updated as we move forward.
Many of you have told us that you wait for our sales each year to buy your plants, we appreciate your support so much. We do not want this cancellation to affect your fall garden. To help you locate the plants for your fall garden we are providing a list of recommended varieties for Fort Bend County. These are tried and true vegetables and herbs that have been grown successfully over the years by our Master Gardeners and customers. Below is a list of the fall vegetables and herbs as promised. We look forward to seeing you at the 2021 Fruit & Citrus Tree Sale,
