A monthly program for Master Gardeners that provides advanced training about a variety of topics throughout the year. We will be meeting in the TTVN in the Main Office, Room 120 (where MG classes have been held).  

The W-5s (who, what, when, where, and why) of Texas natives - with a focus on the plants in the FBMG Native Garden.  The presenter will be Natasha Stairs.

Identification of Host & Nectar Plants, native bees, monarchs and butterfly brew.  The presenter will be Catherine Pennington.  

A presentation on insects and Integrated pest Management (IPM).  The presenters will be Nancy Shafer & Bug Group.  Lunch 11:15-11:45.

Tour and enjoy gardens from around the world in the comfort of an air conditioned room in the heat of Summer.  The presenters will be Suma Mudan, et al. Lunch will be from 11:15-11:45.

Taking care of the gardener is as important as taking care of the plants. Learn from Patrick Lavelle  about First Aid and proper use of tools as well as tips for the aging gardener. Lunch from 11:15-11:45 followed by the presentation.    

What happened to the Disappearing Water Garden? Who's haunting the Cistern? Come learn some of the Spooky details on what's happening to the Demonstration Gardens. Presented by a James Buckley, Robin Winfree, Linda Bair.   Lunch from 11:15-11:45 followed by the presentation.
