From Jean Trevino:
Fall Garden planning is upon us. Please consider adding a few more vegetables in your beds for our Food Bank donations.
Those who do not have a vegetable garden, please use our Edible Front Yard Garden as an inspiration.
Rather then planting flower annuals, plant some mustard, kale or cabbage. This is a Front Yard garden design challenge, send your photos in to Mary when things get going. Now is the time to plan![💚](https://mail.google.com/mail/e/1f49a)
In the fall and winter, we can grow so many beautiful vegetables and herbs. Jean has provided a sample in this video:
Jean Trevino says
Kales come in many colors, Bulls Blood beets have a beautiful burgundy foliage that can be harvested as the beets grow. Mustard greens and Collard greens can fill in a gap in your beds, they are cut and come again and a big hit at the Food Bank.
Mary Parkhouse says
The rabbits love my veggies but they leave some of the herbs alone. I’m going to give it a try. Jean, keep the suggestions coming.
Julie Evett says
I’m in as soon as the heat breaks, and I am able to get in the back in my garden!
